Nanoarchitectonics at Interfaces for Regulations of Biorelated Phenomena: Small Structures with Big Effects

چکیده

Syntheses, analyses, and controls of small structures have been paid much attention to in recent research activities. Architecting appropriate into rational organization is the promising methodology produce functional material systems with high performances. This important role assigned an emerging concept, nanoarchitectonics, which supposed from nanoscale units through fusion nanotechnology other related fields such as supramolecular chemistry, organic materials science, biorelated technology. Herein, interfacial nanoarchitectonics strategies for regulation phenomena by structural are described classification types: rigid solid flexible liquid nanoarchitectonics. In addition general tendencies seen research, several detailed examples, self-renewal multipotency stem cell on nanostructured surfaces, fate control at liquid−liquid interface, biolike metamorphosis nonbio-assembly described. These examples strikingly indicate that interfaces regulate big bioeffects including living fates.

Emergent phenomena at oxide interfaces.

Recent technical advances in the atomic-scale synthesis of oxide heterostructures have provided a fertile new ground for creating novel states at their interfaces. Different symmetry constraints can be used to design structures exhibiting phenomena not found in the bulk constituents. A characteristic feature is the reconstruction of the charge, spin and orbital states at interfaces on the nanom...

Atomic-scale compensation phenomena at polar interfaces.

The interfacial screening charge that arises to compensate electric fields of dielectric or ferroelectric thin films is now recognized as the most important factor in determining the capacitance or polarization of ultrathin ferroelectrics. Here we investigate using aberration-corrected electron microscopy and density-functional theory to show how interfaces cope with the need to terminate ferro...

Adsorption phenomena at organic-inorganic interfaces

The qualitative solventand temperature-dependent conformational behavior of a peptide in the proximity of solid substrates with different adsorption properties is investigated by means of a simple lattice model. The resulting pseudophase diagrams exhibit a complex structure, which can be understood by analysing the minima of the free-energy landscape in dependence of appropriate system parameters.

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
